Thank you to everyone who helped out for my campaign. Sadly, I cannot say "WE WON!" However, I can say there is very little I would change in how we did this campaign.

The biggest variable was the climate for Democrats (that I would have liked to change but had no large input). Democratic Candidates lost badly all across the board. In our campaign we won in how we conducted ourselves from the start to the end.

I'm Russ Patterson and I'm running for the Florida State House in District 60.

I'm running because I have a vision for the district and for a better Florida.

I see a Florida with a much more diversified economy that doesn't just depend on building subdivisions, office parks and roads to support our state. I see a Florida with a top-notch educational system from first grade through college.

I see a Florida that treats its teachers like the professionals they are by paying them what they're worth, giving them the tools they need and holding them accountable for results.

I see a Florida that treats its public resources like water, wetlands and undeveloped wild spaces like public treasures to be conserved and protected instead of just raw materials to be used up or sold for private profit.
